The project has as its fundamental objective the dialogue, both urban and landscaping with the context, with the adjacent buildings, with the other public buildings and with the inhabitants themselves. The school opens up to the town, and its facades are permeated by light and vegetation, with a continuous internal-external dialogue. The building consists of a basement, a vertical distribution volume and a sleeve on Via Nazario Sauro. Inside the area there is a green court and equipped useful for pedagogical and recreational outdoor activities. The structure of the building is in wood and reinforced concrete. The basement and the ground floor, have a prevalent structure in armed concrete. The sleeve of the classrooms on Sauro Street instead, will be made of wood, in panels / walls of X-lam, a regular scan with remarkable anti-seismic capacity. The surface of the panels in X-lam (or Cross-lam), it will be also that of the classrooms, giving to the interior environments a very warm and welcoming character. The architectural forms are aligned with the use of the building in project: the arched forms (on Piazza Martiri and Via Sauro) are forms that in the common imaginary also retain a strong ironic character and that transmit calm and serenity. The recipients and users of this building will be mostly children and teenagers, who will have to recognize in the their school buildings a sense of belonging and identification. The materials used are natural and the colors are those of the materials themselves. (exposed concrete, plaster clear, glass, wood). The colors of the furnishings will be added to the different rooms, but they will be pastel and also for the latter the use of wood is preferred.
